People from various parts of Odisha gathered at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell in Bhubaneswar for the 17th public grievance hearing led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, highlighting the government’s commitment to accessible governance. Senior Ministers and officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries and Secretaries, joined the Chief Minister to address citizen grievances. The Chief Minister personally met with Persons with Disabilities (PwD) before attending to other registered applicants, ensuring prompt medical assistance for those in need.
CM Majhi sanctioned financial aid for individuals with serious illnesses, such as Brajakishore Bandha and Kartika, and directed officials to expedite pending medical support applications. He also instructed authorities to assist Tilottama Pandey, who traveled from a remote area seeking medical aid for kidney and neurological issues. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of grievance redressal as a key government initiative, with a focus on people-centric administration and a high grievance resolution rate.
Underlining the significance of grievance redressal, CM Majhi highlighted the government’s 15-point directive to enhance people-oriented governance. The regular public grievance hearings at the state level have not only improved the system at district levels but also empowered Collectors and Superintendents of Police to conduct similar hearings. The event was attended by Ministers and senior officials from various departments, demonstrating a collective effort towards citizen welfare and effective grievance resolution.
