The opposition parties are gearing up to address various concerns during the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament. Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat emphasized the need for meaningful discussions, highlighting issues such as the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and alleged irregularities in donations at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. He stressed the importance of holding the government accountable and seeking answers on these critical matters.
In addition to these issues, the opposition is also focused on the matter of Special Intensive Revision (SIR), for which they have reached out to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant. Trinamool MP Saugata Roy clarified that the discussion would not include the topic of rebel Trinamool Congress leaders joining the NCPI, as it is a separate issue being handled through disqualification petitions.
Shiv Sena-UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi expressed hope for a discussion on the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple, awaiting the government’s response. She underlined the historical significance of the Ram Mandir movement and the efforts that led to the construction of the temple.
Congress MP Mohammad Jawed stressed the need for more developmental discussions in Parliament, citing concerns over the lack of progress on various issues, including the funding of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) center. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MP Kirti Azad criticized the ruling coalition, claiming that the Opposition’s voice is being stifled and disregarded.
