At least 36 civilians, including women and children, lost their lives in Pakistani military airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar provinces. The attacks, which occurred in the Gayan district of Paktika, Tsamkani district of Paktia, and Manogai district of Kunar, also left 163 individuals injured. Taliban Deputy Spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat confirmed the casualties and mentioned the complete destruction of three residential houses.
Fitrat reported that Pakistani forces’ jets targeted a civilian residence in Mandokhail village of Tsamkani district, resulting in the death of an elderly man and a child, along with injuries to several family members. Subsequently, when locals gathered for rescue efforts, the area was bombed again, leading to the death of 28 villagers and injuries to 158 others. In the Walust village of the Gayan district, another civilian residence was bombed, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, mostly women and children.
Moreover, in the Barolo village of the Manogai district, a civilian residence was struck by an airstrike, causing significant property damage.
