Pakistani security forces have been accused of carrying out the extrajudicial killing of three civilians in Balochistan. The Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department condemned the incident, stating that Kuhda Peer Muhammad and his son Abdullah were killed by Pakistan’s Frontier Corps on May 1 in the Zamuran region. Another individual, Ayaz Baloch, was reportedly killed near his home in the Tasp region by a Pakistan-backed “death squad” on April 30.
The rights body reported that the Frontier Corps raided a house, detained the father and son, and later killed them at an FC camp. Paank highlighted that these incidents represent severe violations of human rights and are part of a pattern of unlawful killings in Balochistan. Sabiha Baloch of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee accused Pakistani forces of conducting widespread operations in the province, including killings, raids, and harassment in residences.
Sabiha Baloch expressed concern over the escalating violence against civilians in Balochistan, emphasizing the need to address the “genocide of the Baloch” and the erasure of Baloch identity. She criticized the state forces for their actions, stating that the situation in Balochistan has reached a critical point. Demonstrators at a sit-in protest outside Bolan Medical College in Quetta have been demanding the release of Khadija Baloch, who was allegedly abducted by Pakistani security forces.
