Palamuru Strikers clinched their debut win of the season by defeating Medak Falcons with a five-wicket triumph in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s TG20 Season 1. The Strikers’ bowlers, Rishab Baslas and Ravi Kiran, played a pivotal role by restricting the Falcons to 164/9. Vignesh Reddy’s quick 39 off 22 balls and Rohit Rayudu’s unbeaten 54 off 42 deliveries led the Strikers to victory with 13 balls to spare.
Right from the start, Palamuru Strikers’ bowlers maintained pressure on Medak Falcons’ batsmen. Ravi Kiran made early breakthroughs, dismissing key players and controlling the Falcons’ scoring rate. Despite some resistance from the Falcons’ middle order, the Strikers’ disciplined bowling prevented easy boundaries, limiting the Falcons to 164/9 in their 20 overs.
In response, Medak Falcons began well with Varun Yerram’s early strikes, putting the Strikers under pressure. However, Vignesh and Rohit’s partnership steadied the innings, with Rohit anchoring the chase brilliantly. With valuable contributions from other Strikers’ batsmen, including Rathan Teja, the team successfully chased down the target with Rohit’s unbeaten half-century being the highlight.
