Panama’s Foreign Minister, Javier Eduardo Martinez-Acha Vasquez, has arrived in New Delhi for a five-day official visit aimed at strengthening ties between Panama and India. The visit, scheduled from July 19 to 23, signifies the deepening engagement between the two countries in areas such as trade, commerce, connectivity, and diplomacy.
During his visit, Minister Martinez-Acha will engage in high-level meetings with senior Indian officials. He is set to meet Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal to discuss enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Additionally, he will hold talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to review the entire spectrum of India-Panama relations and seek new avenues for collaboration.
The agenda also includes discussions on maritime cooperation and port development. Minister Martinez-Acha is expected to meet Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal to strengthen connectivity between the two nations. The visit is part of the ongoing efforts to deepen the warm and friendly relations between India and Panama.
