India’s top para-armwrestler, Shrimant Jha, secured the gold medal at the Norway Para-Armwrestling Cup 2026 in Eidfjord, Norway. Competing in the PIUH -85 kg category, Jha displayed exceptional strength and technique to outperform a competitive field of para-armwrestlers from around the world. His victory not only boosts India’s medal count in para-sports but also solidifies his position among the global elite in the sport.

The tournament, held from April 8 to April 12, featured intense competitions with top athletes, making Jha’s win even more significant. In a touching tribute, Jha dedicated his gold medal to the martyrs of the country, honoring the sacrifices of the armed forces.
