Patna District Magistrate Thiyagarajan S.M. has terminated revenue employee Raja Kumar immediately due to corruption allegations. This action has caused a stir within the department, as the Vigilance Department continues its crackdown on corrupt officials. Raja Kumar, stationed at the Masaurhi Circle Office, was already suspended when he faced dismissal.

The arrest of Raja Kumar on December 23, 2025, at the Masaurhi Block Office by the Vigilance Department’s raid team followed serious accusations. These allegations included irregularities, intentional delays in land record processes, and unjust financial demands from applicants. Subsequently, a charge-sheet was filed against Raja Kumar by the Circle Officer, Masaurhi, after his arrest on corruption charges.

Proper disciplinary procedures were conducted against the accused employee, as confirmed by the District Magistrate. An Inquiry Officer and Presenting Officer were appointed to oversee the inquiry process, which concluded with all charges against Raja Kumar being substantiated. The District Magistrate emphasized the severity of the charges, stating that Raja Kumar’s actions violated the Bihar Service Code.

Despite being provided with opportunities to defend himself, Raja Kumar failed to provide a satisfactory explanation, leading to his immediate dismissal under the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2005. The District Magistrate reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, emphasizing the strict enforcement of this policy by the district administration.
