Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal shared key updates from his Ministry over the past 10 days. He discussed productive trade talks with the EU in Brussels and emphasized the importance of a fair India-EU FTA. Goyal also reviewed the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement implementation during his visit to Liechtenstein.
The Minister mentioned the launch of the Export Promotion Mission’s initial phase. Two interventions under the NIRYAT PROTSAHAN sub-scheme aim to enhance MSME exports and facilitate trade finance access. These initiatives will reduce exporting costs for MSMEs, improve cash flow, encourage exploring new markets, and provide easier bank loan access.
As part of the Export Promotion Mission, the first intervention offers interest subvention for pre- and post-shipment export credit. It aims to lower export credit costs and ease working-capital constraints for MSME exporters. The second intervention provides collateral support for export credit, ensuring improved bank finance access for MSME exporters.
