Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is currently heading a high-level Indian business delegation to Greece, aiming to boost bilateral trade and investment ties. Goyal recently wrapped up a successful 3-day visit to the United Kingdom, emphasizing the India–UK economic partnership at the Partners in Progress Business Plenary in London.
The engagements in the UK and the ongoing visit to Greece underscore India’s commitment, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to strengthening global economic alliances and promoting innovation-driven growth. The delegation’s agenda in Greece includes showcasing innovative enterprises at The Athens Startup Business Incubator (THEA) and engaging in roundtable discussions with industry leaders from both countries.
Furthermore, the delegation will explore collaboration opportunities in sectors like infrastructure, digitalization, defense, and agriculture with a focus on enhancing private-sector partnerships. The visit will also facilitate interactions between Indian and Greek businesses to foster investment and commercial ties across priority sectors, promoting industrial synergies and bilateral trade relations.
