Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed warm wishes to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on their Raising Day, acknowledging their determination, discipline, and dedication in safeguarding critical infrastructure nationwide. He highlighted the crucial role played by CISF in ensuring India’s security and progress.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also praised the CISF personnel for their commitment, professionalism, and patriotic service to the nation on the occasion of the force’s Raising Day. He recognized their unwavering dedication to executing challenging security duties across the country.
The CISF Raising Day is celebrated to honor and appreciate the force’s significant contributions in protecting industrial undertakings throughout India. Established in 1969 under an Act of the Parliament of India, CISF initially secured industries solely owned by the Central Government and now safeguards joint-venture enterprises as well. The force, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, was founded after the 1965 India-Pakistan war to protect critical institutions and ensure their uninterrupted operation.
