Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history in Indian politics by becoming the longest-serving head of an elected government in the country. Surpassing Pawan Kumar Chamling’s record of 8,930 days as Chief Minister of Sikkim, PM Modi has now completed 8,931 days in office, marking his 25th year in a leadership position. This achievement is recognized as a significant milestone, showcasing his decades of continuous public service and political leadership at the highest level.

Throughout his career, PM Modi has set various records, including being the longest-serving Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Prime Minister with the most prior experience as a CM. He is also the first Indian Prime Minister born after Independence and has won three consecutive Lok Sabha elections in 2014, 2019, and 2024, highlighting his political longevity and consistent public support.

Narendra Modi took office as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001, and served for over 13 years before transitioning to national politics on May 21, 2014. Sworn in as the 14th Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014, he secured a full majority in the Lok Sabha as a non-Congress leader, a historic achievement. PM Modi further made history by completing two full terms as a non-Congress Prime Minister and returning for a third consecutive term.

In addition to this milestone, PM Modi has achieved significant digital milestones this year. He recently reached 30 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, solidifying his position as one of the most-followed global leaders on the platform. With a substantial subscriber base, he surpasses other prominent international political figures in terms of online following.

Moreover, in February, PM Modi crossed 100 million followers on Instagram, making him the first serving world leader and politician to reach this milestone on the platform. Since joining Instagram in 2014, his account has become one of the most active and widely followed among global leaders, reflecting a strategic outreach approach to engage audiences in India and worldwide. Currently, he boasts 101 million followers on the social media platform.

As of now, PM Modi has 106.4 million followers on Instagram.
