Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Rome after wrapping up his trip to Norway and attending the third India-Nordic Summit in Oslo. Expressing satisfaction with his Norway visit, PM Modi mentioned holding fruitful discussions with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and the significant decisions made during the India-Nordic Summit.
PM Modi expressed gratitude towards the people of Norway, the country’s Prime Minister, and the government for their warm reception and friendship. He emphasized India’s commitment to collaborating with Nordic nations on enhancing trade and investment, sustainable growth, innovation, climate action, and cooperation in the Arctic region.
During the visit, PM Modi highlighted the progress made in trade and investment between India and the Nordic nations in recent years. He announced the decision to elevate the ties to a Green Technology and Innovation Strategic Partnership, focusing on innovation, scale, talent, sustainability, trusted technologies, and a better future for humanity.
In recognition of his contributions, PM Modi was honored with Norway’s top award, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, by King Harald V in Oslo. This marked the 32nd global honor conferred upon PM Modi during his ongoing five-nation tour. Following his Norway visit, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Rome at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, where he will meet with the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and hold discussions with Prime Minister Meloni.
