Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Bahrain King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa over the phone, condemning recent attacks on Bahrain and showing support for its people. He also appreciated the King’s support for the Indian community in Bahrain. The Bahrain Defence Force reported intercepting Iranian attacks, destroying 61 missiles and 34 UAVs. The force emphasized readiness to intercept any further threats for regional peace and security.

The Bahrain Defence Force denounced the use of ballistic missiles and UAVs on civilian infrastructure, calling it a violation of international humanitarian law. Bahrain asserted its right to defend its sovereignty and security, urging caution among its citizens and reliance on official information sources. Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior reported an Iranian attack on a maritime facility near Salman Port, with efforts to contain the resulting fire.

Tensions escalated in West Asia following US-Israel strikes on Iran, leading to retaliatory drone and missile attacks by Tehran on US assets and regional forces. The conflict resulted in casualties and heightened security concerns across the Gulf region.
