Nabin, the youngest leader to hold this position, was elected during an organisational event at the party headquarters in New Delhi. Outgoing BJP national president J.P. Nadda, along with other prominent leaders, felicitated Nabin at the party headquarters.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the democratic nature of the organisational election process within the BJP. He praised the party workers nationwide for their role in the successful conclusion of the election process. Modi emphasized the importance of leadership guided by tradition and public service.

Modi acknowledged his role as a worker of the BJP, stating that Nabin would now be his boss in party matters.
