PM Modi expressed disappointment that the patriotic spirit once present in the Congress during Gandhi’s era seems to have faded away.
The Prime Minister accused the Congress and its allies of nurturing chronic dissatisfaction by criticizing government initiatives without offering constructive alternatives. He emphasized his government’s commitment to putting the nation above all else in every decision taken over the past 12 years. PM Modi outlined a vision for a developed India, encouraging entrepreneurs and startups to embrace global challenges as opportunities for growth.
Addressing the audience, PM Modi showcased India’s progress over the years, particularly in infrastructure development. He mentioned the completion of unfinished housing projects with a Rs 25,000 crore allocation to provide homes for those in need. The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant expansion of metro services, benefiting millions of daily commuters across major cities.
PM Modi underscored the decrease in the cost of electric vehicles, making them more affordable for the middle class and residents of smaller towns. He pointed out the positive impact of economic measures, such as the increase in the income tax exemption threshold. The Prime Minister also highlighted healthcare improvements, including discounted medicines under government schemes and free treatment for senior citizens above 70 years.
Emphasizing ease of living enhancements, PM Modi mentioned simplified processes for obtaining driving licenses and quicker passport issuance. He acknowledged the rising public expectations for better infrastructure and services, reflecting increased confidence in governance. The Prime Minister urged the youth to align with an aspirational India and emphasized the importance of understanding the true nature of opposition parties.
