Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the iTV Network’s NXT Summit in Delhi on the anniversary of the Salt March, likened Mahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March to India’s current mission of progress under the Viksit Bharat vision. Despite global conflicts and uncertainties, Modi highlighted India’s role as a beacon of hope and stability in the world.

Modi emphasized that India’s 140 crore citizens’ aspirations and confidence are propelling the country’s transformation, translating dreams into reality and enabling it to tackle global challenges with unity. He noted global recognition of India’s rising influence and its crucial role in shaping the future world order.

In the face of global crises, including the West Asia conflict impacting energy and supply chains, Modi called for peace, patience, and heightened public awareness. He urged collective efforts from political parties, media, and industry to protect national interests, emphasizing the importance of factual public discourse and continuous dialogue with global leaders.

Highlighting India’s progress, Modi mentioned advancements in infrastructure, financial inclusion through Jan Dhan accounts, and legislative reforms like the 33% reservation for women. He underlined India’s strides in technology, space missions, semiconductors, and quantum computing, driving the nation towards new horizons. Modi expressed confidence in India’s resilience, pledging to prioritize public welfare and navigate global challenges.
