PM Modi Emphasizes Ethical Use of AI in Meeting with Top CEOs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed the importance of ethical AI use during a meeting with top CEOs and experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The session, held at his residence, aimed to foster collaborations and accelerate India’s AI mission goals. PM Modi highlighted the significance of data security, technology democratization, and the need for a transparent and secure AI ecosystem reflecting India’s values.

CEOs from companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL Tech, and experts from IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Bombay participated in the roundtable. Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jitin Prasada also engaged in the discussion. The CEOs expressed support for India’s self-sufficiency in AI technology and recognized the government’s efforts to position India as a global AI leader.

PM Modi urged the adoption of new technology to drive national growth and emphasized the use of indigenous technology in key sectors. He encouraged leveraging the upcoming AI Impact Summit for growth opportunities and highlighted India’s technical prowess demonstrated through UPI. Modi underlined India’s unique digital infrastructure proposition and called for creating a global impact with technology, making India a hub for AI efforts worldwide.
