Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the objective of the ‘Viksit Vibrant Village’ initiative, aiming to familiarize the youth with the cultural and socio-economic aspects of border villages. During a virtual interaction with participants from 250 districts nationwide, PM Modi praised the youth for their active involvement in programs like ‘Mera Yuva Bharat – My Bharat Manch.’
He commended the youngsters for their contributions, mentioning their engagement from the ‘Viksit Bharat Dialogue’ to the ‘Viksit Vibrant Village’ program. The initiative sought to connect youth physically, enhancing their understanding of the country and addressing the developmental aspirations of rural India.
PM Modi stressed the priority of national interest in border villages and the program’s focus on enabling youth to explore lifestyles, cultures, and challenges in regions like Himachal, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh. The initiative also aimed to understand the perspectives of residents in these areas on security and their connections with the rest of the country.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the program’s success, involving three lakh youths and selecting over 400 participants. He lauded the participants for immersing themselves in border village communities, aligning their lifestyles with local residents, and fostering a sense of unity and patriotism.
PM Modi recalled his personal experiences visiting border areas before his political career, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to build a developed India with significant youth participation. He praised the resilience and patriotism of residents in border regions, despite historical challenges and limited facilities, highlighting their spirit as a source of pride for the nation.
