Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jodhpur to inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and introduce a revised aviation scheme. He also laid the foundation stone for various developmental projects in Rajasthan, including launching projects worth approximately Rs 1.06 lakh crore. In addition, PM Modi inaugurated one of India’s initial semiconductor assembly and testing facilities in Gujarat.
During his tour, PM Modi is scheduled to launch projects in Rajasthan and lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase-2. He will also dedicate, inaugurate, and lay foundation stones for development projects in Balotra, totaling around Rs 1.06 lakh crore. Furthermore, he will address a public meeting during his visit to Balotra.
In Rajasthan, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Rail Project Phase-2 at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) Refinery in Pachpadra. This metro expansion project aims to enhance urban mobility by connecting key areas in Jaipur, including industrial, commercial, and residential zones. The 41-km North-South Metro corridor will link various destinations, such as Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur International Airport, and Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
The Phase-2 corridor of the Jaipur Metro project will consist of 36 metro stations, establishing a modern mass transit system connecting industrial hubs with residential and commercial centers. The project will be executed by the Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited (RMRCL), a joint venture between the Union government and the Rajasthan government.
In Gujarat, PM Modi will inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) plant in Sanand, Ahmedabad. This facility, developed under the ‘India Semiconductor Mission,’ represents one of India’s initial semiconductor assembly and testing plants. With an investment exceeding Rs 7,500 crore, the CG Semi OSAT facility will offer comprehensive semiconductor assembly and testing services.
