Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the previous AAP-led Delhi government for stalling developmental projects in Delhi. He contrasted this with the current Rekha Gupta administration, which has introduced numerous development initiatives in the national capital. PM Modi inaugurated projects worth over Rs 33,500 crore in New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of accelerating Delhi’s development journey.
Addressing a large gathering at a DDA Ground in Burari, PM Modi highlighted the significance of the newly initiated projects aimed at enhancing metro connectivity and providing residential spaces for government employees. He also distributed cards to beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat and PM Swanidhi schemes. PM Modi commended the progress made under the BJP government, attributing it to the trust placed by the people in the administration.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, PM Modi praised the advancements in women’s empowerment under CM Rekha Gupta’s leadership. He underscored the pivotal role of Delhi in representing India’s identity and energy on the global stage. PM Modi emphasized the importance of modernizing Delhi to reflect India’s confidence and showcase its development to the world.
PM Modi inaugurated new corridors of the Delhi Metro, including the Majlis Park-Maujpur Babarpur and Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park routes. These expansions are expected to benefit various areas in Delhi, improving connectivity and easing daily commutes for residents. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for additional metro corridors under Phase V-A, aiming to enhance connectivity to key locations in the national capital.
Highlighting the achievements of the current government, PM Modi underscored the significance of freeing Delhi from previous obstacles to development. He mentioned the implementation of new projects such as DTC, DEVI, and electric buses under the Rekha Gupta administration. PM Modi also emphasized the government’s efforts in infrastructure development, including the construction of a peripheral expressway and initiatives to clean the Yamuna River.
