Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Oslo, discussing bilateral relations. The meeting was attended by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and other officials. Modi and Frederiksen reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the Green Strategic Partnership during a previous telephonic conversation.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi also held meetings with Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadottir and Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. The upcoming India-Nordic Summit in Oslo aims to deepen ties between India and the Nordic countries in various sectors such as technology, green transition, defense, and space.
The summit follows previous meetings in Stockholm and Copenhagen and will focus on areas like sustainability, renewable energy, and the Arctic. PM Modi’s visit to Norway is part of a five-nation tour, with a special reception by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store. Discussions with Store emphasized strengthening cooperation in trade, renewable energy, education, and technology.
