Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted that hoisting the flag at the historic Somnath Temple represents India’s strength and capability, showcasing it globally. He emphasized that the Somnath Swabhiman Parv not only commemorates past destruction but celebrates a 1,000-year journey, reflecting India’s pride and existence.

Addressing a large gathering at Sadbhavna Maidan after offering prayers at the shrine, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the festive atmosphere. He mentioned the divine setting with chants, the sea, and devotees, underscoring the occasion’s grandeur and spiritual significance.

PM Modi, as the President of the Somnath Mandir Trust, expressed his fortune in actively participating in the event. He acknowledged the mesmerizing celebrations, including continuous chanting, drone displays, and devotional presentations, reflecting pride, dignity, and a profound spiritual experience.

The Prime Minister praised the resilience and heroism displayed at Somnath, emphasizing the temple’s significance in India’s heritage. He saluted the brave individuals who protected and rebuilt the temple, linking the sanctity of Prabhas Patan to both Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna, showcasing India’s diverse dimensions of heritage.

PM Modi highlighted the enduring journey of the Somnath Temple, marking both its 1,000-year history and the reconstruction in 1951. He reiterated that the festival signifies not just past destruction but a celebration of India’s pride and existence, drawing parallels between Somnath’s resilience and India’s enduring spirit.
