Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with enthusiasm as he arrived in Somnath for the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years since the restoration of the Somnath Temple. Residents lined the streets, waving flags and dressed in traditional attire during the Prime Minister’s roadshow. Elaborate security measures were in place throughout the city for the high-profile visit.
The city was decorated with national and BJP flags, creating a festive ambiance as PM Modi visited the sacred shrine. The celebrations attracted artists, devotees, and visitors from various parts of Gujarat to witness the grand event at the historic temple town. The Prime Minister is scheduled to take part in religious, administrative, and community-related activities in Gir Somnath and Vadodara districts during his visit.
Security arrangements have been extensively planned for PM Modi’s visit to Somnath, with welcome programs and cultural events organized for the occasion. The Prime Minister is set to participate in various ceremonies, including the Vishesh Maha Puja, Kumbhabhishek, and Dhvajarohan, as well as release a commemorative stamp and coin marking the temple’s 75th anniversary celebrations. The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will perform a special aerial display over the Somnath Temple as part of the festivities.
The Somnath Amrut Mahotsav is expected to draw a large crowd of devotees, artists, and dignitaries, as Gujarat celebrates the 75th anniversary of the temple’s reconstruction and inauguration.
