Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan on Saturday to dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects totaling around Rs 1.06 lakh crore. The projects span across sectors such as petrochemicals, urban transport, railways, roads, renewable energy, power transmission, and aviation. The visit will commence in Jodhpur, where the Prime Minister will unveil the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launch the Modified UDAN Scheme.
At approximately 10:45 A.M., PM Modi will kick off the Modified UDAN Scheme in Jodhpur, which aims to enhance regional air connectivity by developing aerodromes and helipads while providing financial support to airlines. The scheme, backed by an allocation of Rs 28,840 crore over the next decade, aligns with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative by promoting the use of indigenous aircraft.
In addition, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport, designed with traditional Rajasthani architectural elements and modern passenger facilities. The terminal, constructed at a cost of Rs 480 crore, boasts sustainable design features and a 5-Star GRIHA rating target. Later, PM Modi will head to Balotra to dedicate the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) at Pachpadra, India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex.
