Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Tamil Nadu twice in March in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections. The Election Commission is expected to announce the poll schedule for five States, including Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, later this month, gearing up for an intense campaign period.
In Tamil Nadu, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the AIADMK, is finalizing its alliance structure with key regional players like AMMK and PMK already aligning with the BJP, strengthening the NDA’s position in the State. Prime Minister Modi recently kickstarted the alliance’s campaign in Tamil Nadu with a significant public rally in Madurantakam on January 23.
Sources suggest that PM Modi will address a large public meeting in Madurai on March 1 to boost party cadres and voters in southern Tamil Nadu. Another rally is planned in Vellore on March 6 to consolidate support in the northern and western regions, with preparations underway to ensure strong turnout and unity among NDA constituents.
As political activity intensifies across Tamil Nadu ahead of the elections, the NDA aims to leverage the Prime Minister’s visits to energize its support base and refine its electoral strategy for the crucial Assembly battle.
