Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Somnath Temple in Gujarat as part of the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ celebrations. Amid Vedic chants, he performed rituals and sought blessings from Lord Somnath. PM Modi also engaged with the temple priests, administration, and children from Gurukuls.

He then met with artists who had performed during his ‘Shaurya Yatra’ and joined in playing drums with one of the groups. Before his temple visit, PM Modi took part in the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ at Somnath Temple, witnessing cultural performances from artists nationwide. The procession honors warriors who sacrificed their lives defending the temple.

During the event, PM Modi interacted with the crowd, playing the ‘Damru’ and receiving cheers from supporters chanting his name. Artists from various regions showcased their talents as the Prime Minister continued the yatra, warmly greeting everyone. Expressing their excitement, artists shared their enthusiasm for meeting PM Modi during the ‘Shaurya Yatra.’

Following his temple visit, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public event at Sadbhavna Maidan. He will then proceed to Rajkot to inaugurate trade shows and exhibitions as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference. Additionally, he will launch the Phase 2 route of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project at Mahatma Mandir Metro Station in Gandhinagar.
