The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) faced intense political turmoil as its founder, Dr. S. Ramadoss, revealed plans to make a crucial decision on the party’s electoral coalition for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. During the Executive Committee meeting, where 27 resolutions were passed, Ramadoss emphasized the significance of this gathering in shaping the party’s future direction.
Amid speculation surrounding the party’s alliance strategy, Ramadoss asserted his authority in making the final decision for a successful partnership to secure the 10.5% reservation sought by the community. Expressing deep emotions, he lamented internal discord, particularly with his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, whom he accused of betrayal.
Highlighting internal challenges, Ramadoss condemned the undermining of senior leaders within the party, emphasizing his decades-long dedication to its growth. Despite facing opposition, he affirmed strong support from the majority of party workers and vowed to prioritize the interests of Tamil Nadu residents in all decisions moving forward.
