In Dhanbad, Jharkhand, police undertook attachment and confiscation procedures at the Wasseypur home of notorious gangster Prince Khan, who is accused of orchestrating a criminal network in the state from overseas. The operation, carried out at Prince Khan’s residence on Kamar Makhdoomi Road, was in compliance with a court directive. A significant police presence secured the area before the proceedings began.
The team, led by Dhanbad City Law and Order Officer Naushad Alam, Bank More Police Station Officer-in-Charge Praveen Kumar, and Bhuli OP Officer Abhinav Kumar, meticulously searched the premises and completed seizure formalities as part of the property attachment process. During the operation, a rooftop shed at the house was dismantled, with some aspects of the attachment process still pending further action as per legal requirements.
As a precautionary measure, additional security forces were stationed in and around Wasseypur to maintain peace and prevent any disruptions. Despite onlookers gathering to observe, the situation remained calm and managed. Prince Khan, a wanted criminal in Jharkhand who has been residing in Dubai for over four years, faces a Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol at the state police’s request.
Accused of various crimes including murder, extortion, and leading an organized crime ring, Prince Khan allegedly controls his gang remotely from abroad, issuing threats and extortion demands through associates. Recent reports suggest he has been making extortion calls to businessmen in different districts, leading to the arrest of over 30 of his gang members in the past six months. However, authorities acknowledge that the syndicate’s activities have not been entirely eradicated.
Efforts are ongoing to secure Prince Khan’s arrest and extradition back to India for trial, with the state police pursuing legal and diplomatic channels for his repatriation.
