A police constable lost his life in a gun assault in the Kaichi Kamar area of Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. The constable, identified as Irfanullah, was targeted by armed assailants near his residence in the Kurrum Par region. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital in Serai Naurang town, he succumbed to severe bullet wounds.
The unfortunate incident took place while the constable, who was stationed in Peshawar, was on leave in his hometown. In response to the attack, law enforcement swiftly mobilized to the scene and initiated a search operation for the perpetrators. In a separate incident in Bannu city, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another police constable, Raza Ali Shah, was killed in a rocket attack on a police vehicle. The assailants targeted the vehicle as it was returning to the police lines from the Fateh Khel checkpoint, injuring two other personnel who were promptly hospitalized. Following the attack, security measures were heightened, with authorities closing off Miryan Road and conducting a thorough search operation in the area.
Tragically, on a previous occasion in Balochistan’s Pishin district, a police head constable lost his life in an armed assault on a checkpost in the Huramzai area. The assailants, armed with automatic weapons, initiated gunfire at the checkpost, leading to an exchange of fire that claimed the life of the head constable. Despite police retaliation, the attackers managed to escape the scene, prompting a search operation in the vicinity.
