The Inderpuri Police in West District have successfully solved a high-value daylight robbery case involving Rs 70 lakh. Four individuals have been apprehended, and authorities have recovered Rs 53.40 lakh in cash along with the motorcycle used in the crime. The incident took place on March 31 near Krishi Kunj in Inderpuri, where three assailants on a motorcycle robbed employees carrying the substantial sum of money.
An investigation was launched following a complaint, leading to the registration of a case at the Inderpuri Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on April 1. It was discovered during the inquiry that the robbery was carried out with the help of an insider. Vikash, an employee of the complainant, allegedly leaked information about the cash movement and conspired with his associates Mohd. Kaif, Rishi Yadav, and Sourabh alias Bacha to execute the crime.
A specialized police team, overseen by senior officers including SHO Kirti Yadav and ACP Inderaj Meena, was formed to investigate the case. The team meticulously analyzed CCTV footage, collected technical and manual intelligence, and engaged local informants to locate the absconding accused. Following sustained surveillance and multiple raids in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, all four suspects were captured, and a significant portion of the stolen money and the motorcycle were recovered.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rishi Yadav (22), a student with a prior criminal record; Mohd. Kaif (25), involved in the dairy business; Sourabh alias Bacha (23), an auto driver with previous criminal records; and Vikash (22), an employee suspected to be the insider. Authorities are continuing the investigation to retrieve the remaining amount and determine if more individuals were part of the conspiracy.
