Police found jewelry and documents at the residence of accused Ramshankar Yadav, also known as Tinnu Yadav, following searches at the homes of all eight arrested individuals linked to the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Mandir. The accused were recently remanded to three-day judicial custody and are scheduled to appear in court again on Monday.
Cash and property documents were also seized from Yadav’s home, as per police sources, with a detailed assessment underway to catalog the recovered items from each suspect. Authorities are considering whether to request further police custody for the accused during the upcoming court hearing.
Neighbors of the accused have expressed varying opinions, with one referring to Yadav as a “brother” and defending his character, while another emphasized the need for strict punishment for those involved in the theft. Eight individuals, including Trust employees and a retired bank employee, have been implicated in the case, which was initiated following a complaint by a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The investigation, prompted by a preliminary report highlighting irregularities, aims to uncover the full extent of the alleged theft through interrogation and CCTV evidence. The roles of each accused are being scrutinized, particularly that of Ramshankar Yadav, alias Tinnu Yadav.
