Political tensions have escalated in Rajasthan following the arrest of two brothers from Jamwaramgarh in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. One of the arrested brothers, Dinesh Binwal, was identified as a former office-bearer of the BJP Yuva Morcha, sparking criticism from the opposition and putting the ruling party on the defensive.
The Special Operations Group (SOG) detained Mangilal Binwal and Dinesh Binwal regarding the alleged paper leak, with Dinesh Binwal having a past role as the District General Secretary of the BJP Yuva Morcha. This development led to senior Congress leaders, including Ashok Gehlot and Govind Singh Dotasra, questioning the BJP government’s handling of the situation and demanding clarity on the accused’s political affiliations.
Ashok Gehlot accused the Rajasthan government of trying to cover up the issue due to the BJP connection of the accused. Meanwhile, Govind Singh Dotasra raised concerns about the accused’s proximity to BJP ministers and MLAs, suggesting a deeper political involvement in the case. The opposition has criticized the delay in addressing the NEET paper leak, citing alleged ties between the accused and the ruling BJP.
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully joined the criticism, claiming that the government concealed the paper leak case for over a week because of the BJP association of one of the accused. Despite the mounting allegations, family members of the Binwal brothers have refuted the claims, asserting that they are innocent and victims of a setup.
Photos circulating on social media show Dinesh Binwal alongside various BJP leaders, including Education Minister Madan Dilawar, raising further questions about political connections in the case. While the BJP has not issued an official statement, internal voices in the party emphasize that legal procedures will proceed impartially, regardless of the accused’s political ties.
