Political Face-Off Expected in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Special Session

A political showdown looms in the upcoming one-day special session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on April 27. The opposition Congress is gearing up to challenge the BJP government’s stance on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.
Ahead of the session, the Congress is strategizing and coordinating its response by convening a meeting of its Members of the Legislative Assembly. The Congress Legislative Party meeting is scheduled to take place at 9:00 AM at the Leader of the Opposition’s residence in Bhopal.
Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar has raised concerns about the BJP government’s commitment to women’s reservation, alleging deliberate delays under procedural excuses. Singhar emphasized that the Congress will strongly address the issue during the session and seek clarity on the timeline and implementation process.
