The post-mortem report of Deepika Nagar in the Greater Noida dowry death case has uncovered multiple external and internal injuries, including a bone-deep wound and spleen rupture, indicating significant trauma before her death. Deepika, aged 24, allegedly jumped from a rooftop after enduring torment and torture from her husband and in-laws, who are facing dowry harassment accusations. Following Deepika’s suicide, the Greater Noida Police initiated an investigation based on her family’s allegations of continuous mental and physical abuse.
The autopsy report highlighted various injury marks on Deepika’s body, prompting the city police to align these findings with the family’s statements for a conclusive assessment. Deepika was found to have several external and internal injuries, with signs of severe trauma, such as spleen rupture and brain hematoma. Internal injuries indicated conditions like hematoma in the brain and bleeding, while external injuries ranged from different body parts to a bone-deep wound.
The report detailed swelling on Deepika’s face, injuries on her left elbow and forearm, along with wounds on her lower back and abdomen. Additionally, it mentioned a significant pressure mark on her right thigh and a bone-deep wound on her left knee joint. Noteworthy is the tragic incident that occurred in Greater Noida’s Jalpura village, where Deepika leaped from a building’s third floor due to alleged dowry demands and torture. Her family disclosed escalating dowry demands, including an SUV and Rs 50 lakh cash, despite providing Rs 10 lakh, a car, and ornaments during the wedding.
