Meanwhile, Agathe Laisne from France claimed her second Ladies European Tour (LET) title of the season after a thrilling playoff win against Australia’s Kirsten Rudgeley.
The playoff at Randpark Golf Club involved Laisne, Rudgeley, and South Africa’s Casandra Alexander, all tied at 19-under par after 72 holes. Alexander was eliminated in the playoff’s initial stage, leaving Laisne and Rudgeley to battle it out. The intense playoff concluded with Laisne sinking a crucial birdie putt to secure the victory, marking her second win in two months.
Celine Herbin secured fourth place at 16-under par, while Cara Gainer from England and Pia Babnik from Slovenia shared fifth place at 15-under. Pranavi Urs was the only Indian golfer to progress to the weekend rounds, narrowly making the cut at the Joburg Ladies Open. Her journey included a tense finish where she managed to hold her position and finish tied 52nd.
The rest of the Indian contingent, including Tvesa Malik, Diksha Dagar, Avani Prashanth, and Hitaashee Bakshi, fell short of advancing beyond the cut. The Ladies European Tour is set to move to Cape Town for the upcoming Investec SA Women’s Open.
