President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to embark on a four-day tour to Goa, Karnataka, and Jharkhand from December 27 to 30. Her itinerary includes a sea voyage in a submarine from Karwar Harbour, Karnataka, on Sunday, December 28. The following day, December 29, she will attend the centenary celebrations of Ol Chiki at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and also speak at the 15th convocation ceremony of NIT, Jamshedpur.

President Murmu’s engagements on December 30 will involve addressing an Antarrajyiy Jansanskritik Samagam Samaroh – Kartik Jatra at Gumla, Jharkhand. Earlier, she presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 20 children from 18 states and union territories, recognizing their outstanding accomplishments in various fields like art, culture, sports, and innovation. During the ceremony, she conveyed her blessings to the awardees and lauded their families for their support.

Reflecting on the significance of Veer Bal Diwas, observed annually on December 26 to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Sahibzades, President Murmu highlighted the historical context behind the celebration. She praised Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi and her team for organizing the event to acknowledge the talents of these exceptional children. President Murmu also recounted the sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh and his sons 320 years ago, emphasizing the enduring inspiration drawn from their courage and faith.
