President Droupadi Murmu has urged Moldovan businesses to consider investing in India, highlighting India’s rapid economic growth and favorable business environment. Speaking at the India-Moldova Business Forum in Chisinau during her state visit, President Murmu emphasized India’s commitment to providing a transparent and investor-friendly atmosphere for trade and business partnerships. She noted that this visit marks the first-ever state visit by an Indian President to Moldova, underscoring India’s dedication to strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors.
President Murmu expressed confidence in the warm and friendly relations between India and Moldova since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992. She highlighted the mutual respect, democratic values, and shared commitment to peace and development that form the foundation of the partnership. The President also emphasized the significant potential for collaboration between the two countries in various sectors, including digital technologies, renewable energy, agriculture, healthcare, and more.
India’s economic growth driven by entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and a skilled workforce, combined with Moldova’s strategic location and integration with European markets, presents promising opportunities for Indian businesses. President Murmu identified key areas for bilateral cooperation, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech, infrastructure development, logistics, and pharmaceuticals, among others.
