Praising Operation Sindoor and India’s constitutional values, President Droupadi Murmu highlighted justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity as defining principles of the Republic. She commended the Armed Forces for their bravery during the operation, emphasizing self-reliance in defense. The President also noted India’s economic growth, aiming to become the world’s third-largest economy soon.
Recalling the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram’ and honoring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, President Murmu emphasized harmony and unity. She applauded women’s advancements in various sectors, citing initiatives like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana’ that have empowered women. The President recognized the contributions of farmers, sanitation workers, scientists, doctors, military personnel, police, businessmen, and youth to the nation’s progress.
President Murmu highlighted government welfare schemes for poverty alleviation, free ration, and housing, aiming to bridge the gap between the government and the public. She stressed the importance of good governance, simplifying systems, and enhancing citizens’ ease of living through technology. Encouraging public support for national development, she praised societal efforts like the adoption of digital payments and emphasized youth’s role in shaping a developed India by 2047.
