Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock over the recent hostage situation involving seven judicial officers in Kaliachak, Malda district, West Bengal. Addressing a rally in Cooch Behar, he criticized the Trinamool Congress government for failing to ensure judges’ security, highlighting the deteriorating law and order in the state. PM Modi also raised concerns about illegal infiltration and demographic changes along the Indo-Bangladesh border due to the ruling party’s alleged support for infiltrators.

His remarks emphasized the need for accountability post-elections and the BJP’s stance against illegal infiltrators sheltered by the Trinamool Congress. PM Modi assured the public of the Election Commission’s efforts to conduct fair and violence-free polls in West Bengal. He urged voters to bring about change, citing fatigue with the current regime and growing public discontent with the ruling party’s governance.
