Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ at Somnath Temple in Gujarat as part of the Somnath Swabhiman Parv. The yatra is a ceremonial procession honoring the warriors who sacrificed their lives defending the temple.
Accompanied by cultural performances from artists nationwide, PM Modi was welcomed by enthusiastic crowds chanting “Modi-Modi.” He engaged in playing the ‘Damru,’ a musical instrument associated with Lord Shiva, amidst the festive atmosphere.
Artists from various regions like Rajasthan, Punjab, Manipur, and Gujarat showcased their talents during the yatra, expressing their excitement to meet the Prime Minister. The event featured 108 horses that led the procession towards the temple, drawing attention from the spectators.
Participants in the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ shared their joy in performing for PM Modi, highlighting the significance of his visit to the holy site. The Prime Minister is scheduled to offer prayers at the Somnath Temple and address a public gathering at Sadbhavna Maidan later in the day.
