Pro Wrestling League CEO Akhil Gupta expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and shared that discussions are already underway among PWL members on how to maintain engagement post the current season’s conclusion. This season marked a significant return for Indian wrestling after a six-year break, drawing enthusiastic crowds to witness thrilling matches. PWL Chairman Dayaan Farooqi highlighted the organizers’ success in surpassing expectations, igniting fervor among fans.

Gupta, contemplating post-final activities, emphasized the escalating excitement leading up to the event, with plans for surprises including celebrity appearances and unique elements to enhance the overall experience. Noteworthy players like Nisha Dahiya, Harshita Mor, and Manisha from the current PWL roster were lauded by Gupta for their exceptional energy, tipping them as potential medalists in global competitions such as the Asian Games and the LA Olympics 2028. He underscored the rising prominence of female wrestlers, emphasizing their equal prowess and the heightened enthusiasm surrounding their performances.

The CEO highlighted the tournament’s focus on women’s empowerment, celebrating the increased recognition and support garnered by female wrestlers over their male counterparts. Gupta expressed optimism for enhanced female participation in future seasons, citing the inspiring journey of Mumbai Dangal wrestler Saarika, who transitioned from a spectator to a competitor after being inspired by the tournament. He emphasized the societal progress intertwined with the success of female athletes and envisioned a future where women’s involvement in wrestling continues to flourish.
