As the legal dispute between producer Vashu Bhagnani and Ramesh Taurani unfolds, Bhagnani has shifted focus to the music label owner, shedding light on the latter’s business practices and interpersonal connections. Bhagnani disclosed that Taurani declined to gift cars to David Dhawan and Govinda following the success of ‘Coolie No 1’. Despite aiding in crucial professional ties and contributing to his own achievements, Bhagnani expressed a sense of betrayal by Taurani’s establishment.
Reflecting on his extensive tenure in the entertainment sector and successful partnership with filmmaker David Dhawan, Bhagnani detailed his experiences in a personal statement. Recalling a pivotal moment in his career, Bhagnani recounted gifting cars to Dhawan and Govinda before the release of the hit film ‘Coolie No. 1’ as a token of appreciation. Although Tips held a 50 percent stake in the project, Taurani opted out of the joint gesture proposed by Bhagnani.
Stressing the importance of acknowledging those involved in success, Bhagnani highlighted his early connection with the music magnate during his prior involvement in audio cassette manufacturing. He emphasized his independent journey into film production through Pooja Films and Pooja Entertainment, citing his autonomous project development and partnerships.
Bhagnani clarified that his narrative aims to express gratitude, ethics, and accountability towards individuals pivotal in shaping his cinematic legacy. Dismissing any link to ownership conflicts or legal battles, he underscored the significance of sharing his perspective on past events that left him disillusioned and estranged from once trusted companions.
