Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a 50-bed Sub-Divisional Hospital and a 30-bed Maternal and Child Health Block in Dhuri, enhancing healthcare services in Sangrur district. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services to benefit residents of Dhuri city and surrounding villages.
The newly constructed hospital complex, costing Rs 21.65 crore, spans 73,000 square feet and aims to bolster secondary-level healthcare services. It offers outpatient and inpatient care, emergency services, diagnostic facilities, and specialized consultations, benefiting thousands in the region. The Maternal and Child Health Block will enhance maternal, neonatal, and child healthcare services, ensuring better care for mothers and newborns.
CM Mann highlighted the hospital’s evolution from a 30-bed facility established in 1978 to its current status with 80 beds. The upgraded infrastructure includes modern amenities like OPD rooms, emergency block, operating theatres, diagnostic facilities, private rooms, general wards, and a drug store. These enhancements will enable healthcare professionals to handle emergency cases and provide better care to patients in need.
