Punjab FC secured a 3-1 victory over Kerala Blasters FC in Match 40 of the Indian Super League 2025-26 at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Samir Zeljković, Bede Osuji, and Dani Ramírez scored in the first half for Punjab FC. This win elevated Punjab FC to fifth place in the league table with eight points from five games.

Kerala Blasters FC, on the other hand, remained in 13th place with only one point from six matches. This victory marked Punjab FC’s third consecutive win in Kochi, a notable achievement in the league. Samir Zeljković was recognized as the Player of the Match for his exceptional performance.

In the match, Punjab FC’s high-intensity start paid off early with goals from Zeljković and Osuji. The home side struggled with possession, leading to Punjab FC’s dominance. Despite a goal from Kerala Blasters’ Fallou Ndiaye, Punjab FC maintained their lead to secure the win.

The game saw Marlon Roos-Trujillo of Kerala Blasters being sent off in stoppage time, leaving them with ten men. Punjab FC’s solid defense and early goals proved decisive in their victory over Kerala Blasters FC.
