In a significant operation, Punjab Police’s State Special Operation Cell and Ludhiana’s Counter Intelligence apprehended two men planning a targeted killing under foreign-based directives. The arrested individuals, based in Ludhiana, were found with a 9 mm pistol and five cartridges. Investigations revealed their connections to handlers in the UK and Germany associated with the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF).

The arrested men had conducted surveillance on government and prominent offices in Ludhiana as instructed by their handlers. They were also tasked with gathering information on specific individuals. An FIR has been filed in Mohali, with ongoing investigations to uncover further links.

Earlier, the police thwarted another targeted killing plot by arresting three individuals associated with the Arsh Dalla gang. The recovered weapons included illegal pistols and cartridges. The arrested individuals, hailing from Bathinda and Canada, were allegedly involved in an inter-gang rivalry. Preliminary investigations indicated a planned execution of a targeted killing.

The Anti-Gangster Task Force of the Punjab Police has activated a toll-free helpline for citizens to report threats, extortion, and organized crime in a confidential manner.
