Purani Dilli 6 is conducting open trials on March 5 and March 6 at St Stephen’s Ground, Mori Gate, in preparation for the upcoming Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026. After facing challenges in Season 2, the team aims to identify new talent and regain momentum for the upcoming league. The trials are an opportunity for aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills and potentially represent Purani Dilli 6 in DPL 2026.
Head coach Vijay Dahiya emphasized the importance of trials in building a successful team, seeking players with skill, discipline, and a drive to excel under pressure. Owner Akash Nangia expressed confidence in finding new talents through the trials, highlighting the team’s determination to bounce back stronger. The trials aim to form a squad that embodies the pride and passion of Purani Dilli.
The upcoming trial, led by experienced coach Vijay Dahiya, also an IPL franchise coach and former Indian cricketer, aims to inspire and nurture young talents. The DPL’s second season featured eight men’s teams and four women’s teams, with each men’s team playing a total of 10 league matches in a structured format.
