Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu commended Lakshya Sen’s performance at the All England Open 2026 despite his loss to Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei in the men’s singles final. Sen, who had a challenging match, displayed remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament.

Sindhu empathized with Sen, noting the physical toll of playing a final shortly after a demanding semifinal match. She highlighted Sen’s achievements in defeating top players like Shi Yuqi and Li Shifeng, acknowledging the high level of his game.

In a hard-fought final, Sen initially struggled but showed resilience by making a strong comeback in the second game. However, Lin’s consistent performance led to his victory, making him the first men’s singles player from Chinese Taipei to win the prestigious tournament.

Sindhu encouraged Sen to stay positive, emphasizing the continuous opportunities in badminton tournaments like the All England Open. She expressed confidence in Sen’s abilities, foreseeing more successful weeks ahead for him in the Super 1000 events this season.
