Qatar strongly denounced the recent Iranian ballistic missile attack on its territories and those of neighboring countries as an “unacceptable escalation.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar issued a statement expressing deep condemnation of the attack, citing it as a violation of national sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability. Qatar asserted its right to respond to the attack in accordance with international law to defend its sovereignty and national interests.
The statement highlighted Qatar’s historical advocacy for dialogue with Iran to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid escalation in the region. Qatar emphasized the importance of good neighborly relations and expressed disappointment over the targeting of its territories, which contradicts efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. Qatar also stood in solidarity with Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Bahrain, condemning the violation of their sovereignty by Iran.
