Addressing another controversy, Madhavan clarified his stance on a scene where he recited a verse from the Gurbani while holding a cigarette. He explained that despite initial appearances, the scene was carefully crafted to ensure no disrespect was intended towards the Sikh community. Madhavan expressed his deep reverence for the Sikh community and clarified that steps were taken to ensure the scene’s sensitivity and cultural significance were upheld.
